Call Yourself A Book Lover? Check If You Have Read These Amazing Books!


Are you one of those people who love to smell the crisp pages of a newly published book? Or someone who runs to the bookstore before anything else after entering a mall? When someone asks you who your celebrity crush is, do you find yourself wondering what do you answer because all the crushes you've ever had were one of the fictional characters?

Do you find yourself losing yourself in a book only to find out later on, how you have been reading the entire day? And while reading a book do you just come up at a sentence which you think upon so much wondering how could such wonderful set of words ever be written?

So, if you find yourself going “Oh, Yes!” to every point above, you would surely be a book lover. But, just this doesn't do, does it? To call a person a true blue book lover, there has to be something like a checklist of the read books. Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen

Now, this name isn't unknown to almost anyone. People since forever have fallen in love with this wonderful story of Elizabeth Bennet having many twists in the tale to keep the readers hooked.

War and Peace by Leo Tolstoy

Another masterpiece almost everyone has heard of. The story set in the times of Napoleon's invasion of Russia, it surely is one of the best novels of all time.

The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald

The story of this 1925 novel revolves around the life of Jay Gatsby, a young millionaire. Another wonderful read.

Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens

Also made into a film, this book, an amazing work of the renowned author Charles Dickens, is the story of a little boy called Oliver Twist.

To Kill a Mocking Bird by Harper Lee

Published in 1960, it soon became a classic of modern American Literature. The story is a series of the observations made by the author about the incidents of day to day life.

The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini

Written by the Afghan-American author Khaled Hosseini who is also known for his works like “A thousand splendid suns”. This is a story of a young boy named Amir who lives in Kabul. Hosseini had once said that he considers this to be a father-son story.

I know why the caged bird sings by Maya Angelou

An autobiography of the much known author and poet Maya Angelou. This is one book among the seven volume series and is surely worth a read.

Books not only are fun to read, but they also make a person grow, learn and live. They take one to a world far away and make us realise things about life we would have otherwise never imagined. As book lovers, we feel the characters in the books.

We've been blessed to have such an ocean of great books written by so many different authors easily available for us to read, not just the ones included in this list but many more. It would be unfair if we don't take a look at this treasure. Everyone, just like a travel bucket list, has a book wish list too. So, which one is on the top of your list?
