Greatest Ever American Sitcoms Of All Time.
Laughter is the best medicine they say. And damn yeah it's true. Having a tough and stressful day makes us all dull. And all we need is to relax and give our minds a break. Can’t afford going on dates, eating chocolates & ice-creams, on daily basis. So we have sitcoms to our rescue. Watching sitcoms is one of the best and cheapest remedy to have a good laugh dose for your day.
So here are a few American Sitcoms that might help you ease up your day.
1. F.R.I.E.N.D.S.:
Talking about American Sitcoms, F.R.I.E.N.D.S. definitely has to top our list. The series originally ran for 10 years from 1994 to 2004. It is about 6 friends living in New York. Every single episode makes you laugh out loud. Even though you have memorized the punchlines, each time you re-watch it, it makes you laugh as hard as you did it the first time. It never gets old! You get so attached to the characters through out all 10 seasons that you will search for Joey to your Chandler, Chandler to your Monica, Ross to your Rachel & Phoebe to your Joey. And we hope you find them all. It's an emotion more than just a Sitcom.

2. Modern Family:
Well this sitcom, as the name suggests is about one large modern American family consisting of 3 small families. One family is of an elderly man married to a much younger Colombian woman & their 2 sons, the 2nd family is a mid-aged couple and their 3 teen children & the 3rd is the family of a gay couple with their sarcastic daughter adopted from Vietnam. The episodes are comically based on situations encountered by families in real life & tickle your funny bone. It first aired in 2009 & had its 8th season premiered in 2016. Watching this Sitcom you realize all our families have similar characters & how we bear & love them to the core. Because in the end, its family that matters the most & family is the one by your side at the end of the day.
3. The Office:
The series is based on everyday office lives of office employees of a paper company named Dunder Mifflin, in Scranton, Pennsylvania. The employees are lead by a totally epic character “Micheal Scott” played by Steve Carell. The show also at times depict sarcasm & adult comedy content. The characters actually relate to an ordinary office’s employees. There is also a great love story being portrayed between the receptionist “Pam” and sales employee “Jim” (they are just too cute together). All in all, it is a good sitcom lowering our stress level. It aired from 2005 to 2013.

4. How I Met your Mother:
Ted Mosby an architect who narrates to his children about how he met their mother, which includes his life with his friends Marshall, Lily, Barney and Robin. Though the secret isn't revealed until the last episode so do not try to google who is the mother because you got 9 seasons to watch. Marshall & Lily are shown as a perfect couple in the show and Barney - a serial womanizer has managed to be awesome through out the show. Robin is someone on whom you'll surely lose your heart. There is so much to tell but better you watch it without spoilers.
5. The Big Bang Theory:
This Sitcom is about science freak group of guys. “Leonard” & “Sheldon” are physicists & also flat mates, “Howard” is an aerospace engineer & “Raj” is an astrophysicist. Female leads include “Penny” who is a waitress and an aspiring actress who lives across Leonard & Sheldon’s flat. The geekiness and intellect of the four men are contrasted for comic effect with Penny's social skills and common sense. The show first aired in September 2007 & its 10th season premiered in September 2016.
6. The Simpsons:
Standing out from the above mentioned sitcoms, “The Simpsons” is an Animated Sitcom. Also, it is the longest running American Sitcom with its 28th season premiered on September 2016, that’s too long right! Well, that’s because the show is that entertaining. Sarcastically illustrating the life of a working class family characterized by Homer - a careless & buffoonish personality (father), Marge - a stereotypical housewife (mother), Bart - the troublemaker (son), Lisa - the genius kid (daughter) & Maggie - the new born (daughter). The show also depicts adult comedy making it more entertaining with its witty sense of humor.
