Winter
Numb limbs, rosy cheek
Woolen clad beauties walking
Through the white forest
Smoke filled lungs,
Breathing fire,
Or may be ice, hard to decipher.
Days white, nights white
Whitened earth, sky white
In the city of tarred hearts
A kid’s innocent smile white.
Teeth clattering, people chattering
Woolen clad beauties walking
Strumming the white strings
Of hopeless hearts
Singing the melodies of
Enchanted wars.
O’ winter, my winter
Thou hast done the trick
You froze this dark era still
And rekindled the dying flames
Within a man’s heart.
